8th Annual EDC Economic Outlook Luncheon
Join the conversation on Transforming the Islands’ Economy at the 8th Annual EDC Economic Forecast Luncheon, held at Brickworks in Friday Harbor on Wednesday, June 7th from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The EDC’s annual economics luncheon explores recent data on trends in the economy, and potential opportunities and threats that face our businesses.
This year’s speaker lineup is a blockbuster, including Brett Horvath, co-founder of Scout.ai and noted futurist. The presentations will explore our region’s economy – past, present and future – including industry, employment and sales data, plus a panel discussion on Transforming the Islands’ Economy.
Also included will be data presentations by economists Dr. Anneliese Vance-Sherman and James McCafferty and a panel discussion with Washington State ICT Sector Lead Dr. Joseph Williams; WA State Maritime Sector Lead Joshua Berger; Dave Wallace, Economic Analyst for the WA Workforce Training Board; Rick Hughes, San Juan County Councilmember; Duncan Wilson, Town of Friday Harbor Administrator; and Victoria Compton, EDC.
