Active Partnerships

  • Agricultural Resource Committee
    We work with the ARC on agricultural business issues, striving to strengthen the existing farmers and to remove hurdles for new farmers. We are participating with the ARC on the "Permanent Farmers Market SJI" project.  We also hope to include some agriculture data in the 2009 Almanac.
  • Leadership San Juan Islands
    The EDC is proud to be one of the sponsors for this county wide, very successful leadership training program; with 2008 being its fourth year to be offered.
  • San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau
    We work with the Visitors Bureau on Tourism related opportunities and impacts to the county economy.  We are participating in the Visitors Bureau's Scenic ByWay Grant project.
  • San Juan County Marine Resource Committee
    We work on marine related business objectives within the Regional Marine Cluster project. We are participating in their "Fostering a Sustainable Business Network in SJC" Grant project.
  • San Juan County Task Force on Ferries and Transportation (TFFT)
    We have a representative actively participating in this county task force to work on the County's strategy with respect to Washington State Ferries and transportation in general.
